Battlefield 4 HD Wallpapers:During a keynote speech at the University of Southern California in November last year, EA exec Frank Gibeau confirmed the release of a Battlefield 3 sequel, simply by saying: ‘There is going to be a Battlefield 4’.
Surprisingly, the announcement was made just two weeks after the Battlefield 3 hit the shelves, the Metro reports. Despite confirming that Battlefield 4 would indeed be released, Gibeau failed to shed further light on the title.However, with a six year gap between Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 3, chances are we won’t be seeing it on shelves any time soon.

Battlefield 3 arrived to much fanfare when it launched back in October last year, selling 5m units in its first week alone. However, it failed to beat the more popular Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which sold a whopping 12m copies in its opening week - that's a 7m difference, for those who don't have their caluclators out.While we may not see a Battlefield 4 release this year, Activision is tipped to release Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 in November 2012, according to reports.
